What is Considered a Dental Emergency
We consider any situation in which you are experiencing pain or discomfort as a dental emergency. If you are experiencing pain from a sudden or a lingering toothache, have a fractured or knocked-out tooth, or have been involved in an accident that involves your teeth and/or jaw, you should be treated by a dentist immediately.
At Midpark Dental, we reserve time in our daily SE Calgary Dental Office schedule specifically for dental emergencies and will accommodate both existing and new patients who are unable to see their regular dentist in a timely manner. Preventing Dental Emergencies
Preventing a dental emergency, the best way to avoid dental emergencies from occurring and is best achieved by booking an appointment with Dr. Alina Drosu, General Dentist and Dr. Mona Khodabakhsh, General Dentist on a regular basis for a comprehensive dental exam.
Your dental exam includes checking for signs of weakened teeth, loosened or ageing restorations and early signs of infection that may indicate the presence of infection and the possibility of periodontal disease.
Protect Your Teeth
If you participate in any type of sporting activity that could impact your oral health, we encourage our patients, regardless of their age, to wear a properly sit, custom mouth guard while playing contact sports. Research shows that a large percentage of dental injuries are related to sports. A custom mouthguard can prevent many of these injuries from occurring.
